What if I’m not getting Push Notifications and I should be?
Make sure Push Notifications are enabled on your phone. Here’s how to ensure push notifications are enabled on both iOS and Android phones:
-
Go to System Settings > App Notifications > HHAeXchange+ > Notifications. Ensure:
-
Allow Notifications is toggled ON.
-
Allow Notifications is toggled ON.
-
Alerts are enabled for Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners.
-
Sounds and Badges are enabled if applicable.
-
-
App Permission Prompt - On first launch, iOS prompts you to allow notifications. If you decline, the app cannot re-prompt automatically — you must manually re-enable it in Settings.
-
Check Focus / Do Not Disturb settings. Ensure your app is not muted by Focus or Do Not Disturb modes.
-
Go to Settings > Notifications > App Settings > HHAeXchange+. Ensure:
-
Allow Notifications is toggled ON.
-
App-specific categories/channels (e.g., “Clock-In/Out Alerts”) are enabled.
-
-
Check Battery Optimization. For reliable background delivery: Go to Settings > Apps > HHAeXchange+ > Battery > Don’t optimize (may vary by manufacturer).
This prevents Android from killing the background process that listens for messages.
-
In-App Permission (Android 13+)
Starting in Android 13 (API 33), apps must explicitly request POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission at runtime. Users can manage it under Settings > Apps > Notifications.
