• If you've previously filed state payroll tax returns, your Employer Account Number can be located on any Quarterly Contribution Report you've submitted. The format is an eight-digit number (XXXXXXXX). If your number is 5 or 6 digits, add leading zeros (0s) to the front.

• For new employers, check the UI Contribution Rate Notice received after completing online registration. If you've informed Payroll about your new employer status, the rate will be prepopulated.

• Existing employers can locate their UI rate on the quarterly Contribution Rate Notice sent by the Alaska Department of Labor.

Employer Unemployment Account Number

The easiest method to obtain an Employer Account Number is by registering online with the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development. After successful registration, you will be issued your eight-digit (XXXXXXXX) Employer Account Number along with your Employer Unemployment Insurance (UI) Contribution Rate.
