Louisiana Payroll Tax Requirements

Revenue Account Number
New businesses can register online.
Unemployment Tax Employer Account Number
New businesses can register online; however, be aware that you must complete registration in one sitting. It is recommended that you gather all the necessary information listed before starting the process.

Issues with registering or locating your Revenue Account Number can be answered by contacting the Department of Revenue at (855) 307-3893.

Issues with registering, locating your Unemployment Tax Employer Account Number, or locating your Insurance Contribution Rate can be resolved by contacting the Workforce Commission at (866) 783-5567.
Link us as your third-party administrator to ensure we are able to complete the quarterly filings and amendments (if applicable) in a timely manner.
Steps to grant TPA

Log in or create an account on the LA WATS website.

On the homepage, select Manage Power of attorney from the Wages section on the left.

Select the ADD POA button on the top of the page.

Enter our account information:

Agency Federal ID: [ENTER ID]

Authorization Type: TAX

Broker Number: [ENTER BROKER NAME]

Agent Mailing Address: [ENTER MAILING ADDRESS]

Once the website confirms the POA has been added, select Link Agent Account from the top.

Agent Access Code: [ENTER CODE]

Agent Federal ID: [ENTER ID]

Fill in the corresponding information from above and select Submit.
