What's New: October 2026
Create Hospice Flag on Patient Profile
A new Hospice Flag and associated fields—Hospice ID, Effective Date, and End Date—are available for South Carolina patient profiles. Agencies can manage hospice enrollment details directly within Enterprise, helping ensure required identifiers are captured for claims processing and audit history.
MES Core Member Onboarding and Eligibility Validation
HHAeXchange now integrates with the South Carolina MES Core system to automate member onboarding and eligibility validation. Member demographics and payer assignments remain synchronized with state records, and new members must be validated against the MES Core database before care can be scheduled.
Authorization Program Code RTM & Dropdown
A new Authorization Program Code Reference Table is available to improve data accuracy and reduce claim rejections. The Program Code field on Internal and Provider-created UPR Authorizations is now a validated dropdown instead of a free-text field. Administrators can manage program codes, associated contracts, and effective dates in Reference Table Management (RTM).
Carematch AI Shift Matching in HHAeXchange+
Agencies using Carematch can now offer caregivers an AI-driven shift-booking experience directly within HHAeXchange+. Caregivers can access Carematch Open Shifts and Availability through a secure embedded experience, allowing them to view, accept, decline, or request shifts and manage their work availability. Shift status synchronizes between Enterprise, Caribou, and HHAeXchange+
Mobile Medication Management
Caregivers and nurses can now manage patient medications directly in HHAeXchange+ from the new Medications tile. Users can view active medications and add, edit, or discontinue medications at the point of care, with updates synchronized to Enterprise in real time.
This enhancement provides end-to-end medication management in HHAeXchange+ and supports downstream eMAR administration workflows. Mobile Medication Management can be enabled from Caregiver Profile > Mobile App Settings by selecting Clinical under Mobile/Portal ID Type.

Mobile User Management+: See When Users Last Signed In
Mobile User Management+ now includes a Last Sign In Date column next to Status in search results. The column displays the date and time each user last signed in to HHAeXchange+, making it easier to monitor caregiver activity and troubleshoot sign-in issues.
Search Caregiver (New): Export Caregiver Mobile App Versions
Exports from Search Caregiver (New) now include an App Version column showing the version of the mobile app each caregiver is using. Agencies can use this information to identify caregivers who may need to update their app.
Visit Notes: Mobile App Notes Show Caregiver and Date/Time
Notes entered by caregivers in HHAeXchange+ now include the caregiver’s name and the date and time the note was entered. This information appears under Visit Info > Mobile App Multimedia and provides a time-stamped record to support documentation and payer audit requirements.
Send Mobile App Activation Codes in Bulk
Agencies can now send mobile app activation codes to multiple caregivers at once from Search Caregiver (New) > Bulk Actions > Manage Mobile Activation Code. The action can be run for selected caregivers or all caregivers in the search results.
Mobile app access is enabled when necessary, and an activation code is generated and sent by email or text message. Jobs run in the background, and the results history identifies which caregivers received a code for easier follow-up. Access requires a new user permission.
Capture Race in Caregiver Profile
The Caregiver Profile now includes a Race field alongside the existing Ethnicity field. Users can select from standard race categories aligned with federal EEO-1 reporting.
New Private Payments Routing Flag
A new contract-level setting, Route Invoices to Private Payments Module, is available in Admin separately from the Private Pay flag. Agencies can route invoices from multiple contracts within an account, move routing to another contract even after invoices have been generated, and use an effective date to determine which invoices are routed.
Previously, Private Payments relied on the Private Pay flag, which allowed only one contract per account. The new routing setting provides greater flexibility for agencies with multiple private pay arrangements, rates, or billing frequencies.
This setting is not available for Medicaid, Medicare, or VNS contracts.
DME & Supplies via Clinical Info
A new DME & Supplies section is available under Patient Profile > Clinical Info, allowing agency staff to centrally record and manage active patient equipment and supplies. Documented DME and supplies can automatically populate corresponding sections of Nursing Assessments and flow into MD Orders, reducing duplicate data entry and helping keep patient information consistent across clinical workflows.
eMAR Pre- and Post-Administration Tasks
Agencies can now configure pre- and post-administration tasks in eMAR to support medication-specific safety checks, care activities, and follow-up reassessments. Nurses are prompted to complete applicable tasks as part of the medication administration workflow, including recording required vital signs and documenting post-administration outcomes. Task completion is recorded with user and time details to support audit readiness and compliance monitoring.
Goal Tracking: North Carolina Template Updates
North Carolina Goal Tracking templates now automatically populate assessment keys across the web and mobile app based on the selected intervention and visit count. The system defaults the appropriate outcome key based on defined criteria, while still allowing users to manually edit the assessment key when needed. This enhancement streamlines caregiver documentation and improves consistency in goal outcome tracking.
Configurable IDD Template Updates
Configurable IDD templates now support flexible fields for agency-specific information, such as Case Managers and Alternate IDs. Values entered in these fields automatically display on the Goal Note Agency/Print view without generic labels, with an informational tooltip available during entry.
Additional fields can be added through the individual’s Person-Centered Plan, helping ensure agency-specific documentation and audit information appears clearly on printed and exported Goal Notes.
Goal Tracking: Clock-Out Validation and Auto-Save Enhancements
HHAeXchange+ now more accurately recognizes completed Goal Tracking requirements when caregivers save their documentation, preventing completed requirements from incorrectly blocking clock-out. Updated status messaging also provides clearer feedback during visit completion.
Active Goal Tracking documentation now saves automatically in the background to help prevent data loss and support compliant visit completion.
