Ohio Exclusion Lists

What is it? |
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) maintains a list of Providers who have been excluded or that are currently suspended from the Ohio Medicaid program. If an individual or company is on the list, the individual or company may not be an owner in whole or in part; officer or partner; authorized agent, associate, manager, or employee of a Medicaid provider. The individual or company is prohibited from owning, contracting for, arranging for rendering or ordering services for Medicaid recipients or receiving direct or indirect reimbursement of Medicaid funds in the form of salary, shared fees, contracts, kickbacks, or rebates from or through any participating provider or risk contractor. |

What is it? |
Ohio Administrative Code 5123-17-03 establishes guidelines to track those who are prohibited from working with people with developmental disabilities using the Abuser Registry. Individuals placed on the Abuser Registry are barred from employment as a developmental disabilities employee in the state of Ohio (and other states that check the Abuser Registry). The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities maintains the Abuser Registry, which is a list of employees who the department has determined have committed one of the below-listed Abuser Registry offenses:
