Capture Refused Duty Reason
This feature is activated by HHAeXchange System Administration. Contact HHAeXchange Support Team for details, setup, and guidance.
The EVV Process captures a Refused Duty Reason when a Caregiver indicates that a Duty was refused by a Patient. This topic provides an overview of the process and instructions.

A Caregiver dials the Agency IVR line to Clock Out and enters his/her credentials to log in.
Enters performed Duties. When a entering a refused Duty code, the system prompts the Caregiver to enter the specific Refused Duty Reason code.
-
If entered correctly, the system prompts for the next Duty ID.
-
If entered incorrectly, the system alerts that the code is invalid (incorrect). The system allows up to three attempts to enter a valid code before forcing the next Duty ID.
Follow the system prompts to complete the call.

Refused Duty Reasons are setup and managed by HHAeXchange. Agencies must contact HHAeXchange Client Support to edit, remove, or add new values.
To review codes, go to Admin > Reference Table Management, and select the Refused Duty Reason value in the Reference Table dropdown.
The Refused Duty Reason codes must be provided to Caregivers for proper entry into the system.

All refused Duties entered at Clock Out are captured in a single Note on the corresponding Visit Window. The Note specifies the following:
-
The refused POC Duty.
-
The corresponding numerical code of the refused POC Duty.
-
The Refused Duty Reason.
If a Caregiver fails to enter a Refused Duty Reason code during Clock Out, the system captures the refused Duty in the Note as No Refused Duty Reason entered.
