We have updated the Minnesota EVV Technical Specifications to clarify how Residing (Live‑In) Caregiver functionality works within HHAeXchange.
-
Providers using a third‑party EVV system do not need to configure caregivers as Residing (Live‑In) in the HHAeXchange Patient Profile if their vendor can send the ResidingCaregiver = Yes value via the API.
-
The ResidingCaregiver indicator can be sent at the visit level, and HHAeXchange will use this inbound value to determine Residing Caregiver status for the visit.
-
Patient‑level configuration in HHAeXchange is only required if the third‑party EVV system cannot transmit or flag Residing Caregiver visits through the API payload.
