Illinois - Billing Care Coordination IDOA Feature Contract Setup
The Planning Service Area (PSA) and Care Coordination Unit (CCU) number fields are used for billing purposes in specific markets. These values help Providers identify the area where a visit is conducted.
To enable the PSA and CCU functionality for an IDOA contract:
Go to Admin > Contract Setup > Edit Contract, the Contract Setup General page opens.
-
In the Address section, entering an IL Zip Code automatically populates the State field with IL. The IDOA PSA & CCU Numbers field appears below. Select the checkbox to enable this feature.
PSA and CCU values entered at the Office level apply to the Patients who belong to that Office. Providers are able to assign specific PSA and CCU numbers to corresponding offices so that only those numbers can be applied to the Patient contracts in those areas.
To apply these values:
Go to Admin > Office Setup > Search Office to search and locate the office. In the Address section, enter the PSA Contract # and CCU # fields.
PSA and CCU Number values are created via the Reference Table Management feature under Admin > Referent Table Management. PSA Number values are created and managed in the Planning and Service Areas (PSAs) table, and CCU Number values are created and managed in the Care Coordination Units (CCUs) table.
